Who can I impersonate?

You can only impersonate people who have shared delegation rights with you (learn more about account delegation).

As the delegation feature is still in beta-test, contact us via the chat or at [email protected] to set-up account delegation.

What is the Impersonation feature?

The impersonation feature allows you to log in and act on behalf of an investor.

This includes performing any actions such as completing investments, accessing investment documentation, etc.

How to Impersonate an Investor

  1. Log in to your own Roundtable account:

    • Use your personal credentials to access your account.

  2. Access the Account Impersonation section:

  3. Select the Investor to Impersonate:

    • A list of investors who have granted you impersonation rights will be displayed.

    • Click on the name of the investor you wish to impersonate.

  4. Perform Actions on Behalf of the Investor:

    • Once impersonation is active, you will see a banner at the top of the screen indicating the name of the investor you are acting on behalf of.

    • You can now perform any actions within their account, such as:

      • Making investments

      • Updating bank details

      • Completing KYC/AML requirements

  5. End Impersonation:

    • To stop impersonating, click the "End Impersonation" button on the banner at the top of the screen.

    • You will be signed out from the platform.

Best Practices for Using Impersonation

  • Act with Integrity: Only perform actions that align with the investor's instructions.

  • Communicate Clearly: Notify the investor of any major actions you have taken.

  • Ensure Security: Log out of shared devices after completing tasks.
