How can I engage with my investors through the platform?

As a deal or community lead, you can engage with your investors through various channels (in-app discussion, emails, WhatsApp groups, …).

In-app discussions (1/3)

The most effective way to interact with your investors. It can be particularly relevant to promote a Q&A session with the founders, send a reminder before the deal closes, share investor reports, …

Where can you find it?

The in-app discussions can be found:

  • at Platform level > "Messaging" section

  • at Community level > "Discussion" tab

  • at Deal level > "Discussion" tab

Who can interact through the chat?

  • Roles

By default, discussion channels are restricted: only admins can post new messages.

At any time, you can open the discussion and allow investors to post messages as well.

  • Permissions

For communities, only active members have access to the discussion channel.

For deals, it depends on the deal status:

  • when the deal is open, all invited investors can view the chat;

  • once the deal closes, only investors with an active investment can view the chat.

How are investors notified when a new message is posted?

When a new message is posted, a notification email will be sent to all chat members:

  • for restricted channels: 5 mins after;

  • for open channels: 2 hours after.

This delay is intended to batch notifications.

Emails (2/3)

If you need to reach out to specific members / investors only, you can send them a personalised email directly from the platform.

Where can you find it?

This feature is available for Deals (Commitments / Investments tabs) and Communities (Members tab).

You can send emails to specific investors individually or using the bulk action.

This is particularly useful to send targeted reminders during a deal closing (identity verification, documents signature, …).

Other messaging platforms (3/3)

For Communities, if you already centralise your discussions through external messaging apps, you can showcase the invitation link to your members.

To date, we handle invitation links for Slack, Whatsapp, Discord & Telegram.
